The Western Regional Instrumentation Centre (WRIC), Mumbai has been established with the objective of strengthening higher education and research by providing state-of-the-art facilities for training, research & development, and scientific services in the area of advanced instrumentation. Over the years, WRIC has played a significant role in supporting universities, colleges, and research institutions by enabling access to sophisticated analytical tools, capacity building programmes, and expert technical support.
As Chairman of the Governing Council, I am pleased to note that WRIC continues to function as a vital regional resource centre, fostering interdisciplinary research, innovation, and skill development. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, the Centre remains committed to promoting quality, inclusivity, and excellence in higher education through scientific and technological advancement.
I place on record my appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the scientists, faculty members, technical staff, and administrators of WRIC, Mumbai, and I am confident that the Centre will continue to contribute meaningfully to academic progress and national development in the years to come.
