WRIC, Mumbai is engaged in R&D activities in development of new instruments, new technologies, including educational aids for effective training. It has projects funded by government agencies and industries as well as supported internally with futuristic view and prospective technology transfer.  The Centre also offers consultancy to industries. Reserch and Development laboratory is equipped with latest equipments.

A strong interaction between WRIC and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research Mumbai SAMEER has been started in collaborative research and development activities in instrumentation from the year 2007.  We appreciate the efforts of Prof. B. M. Arora, Emeritus Professor at IIT - Bombay, Dr. G. P. Shrivastava, Director, Electronics & Instrumentation Group at BARC and   Dr. A. M. Ghodgaonkar, Ex-I/c Director of WRIC, for their initiatives in starting the collaborative programme with BARC. As in the past, WRIC has continued its interaction with Industries in developing new instrumentation systems.
