WRIC Library is a special library catering to users’ needs in instrumentation and allied subjects. Its services include lending, reference and Internet.
The Library has a collection of over 4000 books covering diverse areas of instrumentation and allied topics. They include several series such as Encyclopaedia of Medical Devices & Instrumentation (4 vols), Handbook of Optics ( 2 vols ), Instrument Engineers’ Handbook, Liptak ( 2 vols ), Instrumentation Reference Book ( 2 vols ), Materials Selector ( 3 vols ), Sensors ( 8 vols and 2 updates ), Optical Fibre Sensors (4 vols ), etc.
In addition to WRIC staff, the Library facilities were used by a large number of persons from educational institutes and industries. Efforts are being made with UGC INFLIBINET to have access to the e-journals subscribed by UGC for the benefit of WRIC staff. Internet facility provided by University Computer Centre of Mumbai University was made available to the WRIC staff, students and teachers to access need-based information about electronic components, instruments, circuits, other related documents and many of the full-text e-journals available without any subscription charges.
