System for Testing Inward Leakage of Safety Mask
The system consists of i) Sodium Chloride aerosol generator, ii) buffer tank for removal of moisture from aerosol and storing the dry aerosol, iii) leakproof wooden chamber (101H ´ 71W ´ 31D) with double door entry for the easy movement of one person inside the chamber. The electronic instrumentation consists of 1) a gas burner and flame controller, 2) yellow flame focusing arrangement, 3) measurement and data conversion system for evaluating the contamination levels inside and outside of the safety mask. The signal conditioning unit comprises of a preamplifier, main amplifier, signal measurement and control card, silicon laboratory microcontroller unit with input / output peripherals. An appropriate software was developed for the auto control of solenoid valves, measurement, analysis of data received and the requisite calculation of inward leakage from the safety masks.
